The infamous LETTER!

Here it is...the infamous letter we've been waiting for--it's here after 125 days from dossier log in date of 11/14/06! It feels sooooo good to have official recognition from China that we will be Lily's parents. Since our dossier & letter of intent to adopt were sent together we weren't to receive a pre-approval--just get travel approval. So since all of our documents were sent to China it's been quiet with no assurance that we would be Lily's parents until now. And as you all know--we've known for over 7 months in our hearts that Lily Han Xue was our daughter.

We're going to sign this puppy and hand deliver it this afternoon to HOPE for Children when I'm on my way to classes. Wish me luck tonight since I have 2 exams and my thoughts are a bit scatter-brained right now! It was so hard to concentrate last night when I was trying to study! Then I couldn't sleep so I went back to trying to study until 2 a.m....it's all good anxiety :)...life's good.

OUR LETTER IS HERE!!!

Our agency just called to say that they were looking at our final letter of confirmation!! They are Fed-Exing it to us and it will be here for us to sign by noon tomorrow! We're thinking that travel approval should be issued pretty quickly upon return receipt of this letter!

FINAL LETTER OF CONFIRMATION ON THE WAY!!!!!!!!!

Our agency emailed us this morning to let us know that their contact was able to confirm with the CCAA that our final letter of confirmation has been mailed!!! WOOOOHOOOO!!!!! We should have it early next week! Once we sign this letter and Fed-Ex it back to the CCAA they will send our travel approval. In January people were getting their travel approvals in about a week from return receipt of this letter. Then in February Chinese New Year seemed to delay the processing for most families and many waited 3 or so weeks for travel approval. Let's hope our turn around is really fast since there are no holidays going on right now. There may be only rain clouds and sprinkles outside today here in Georgia, but there's sunshine and happy faces in our house today!! Our bags are almost done being packed...we're ready to go! Lily...we're almost there to bring you home!
